NOTICE

The 22nd International Congress of Endocrinology and the 99th Annual Meeting of the Japan Endocrine Society have successfully concluded their on-site sessions with approximately 4,700 participants.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your participation and invaluable contributions.

An Address by His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Akishino at the Opening Ceremony of the 22nd International Congress od Endocrinology (ICE2026) - Tuesday, June 2, 2026

ICE2026/JES2026 Policy Regarding Typhoon (currently designated as Typhoon No. 6 in Japan) as of June 1, 2026

Typhoon No. 6 is currently forecast to approach Japan. However, as of this moment, ICE2026/JES2026 is scheduled to proceed as planned.

The safety of participants, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and staff remains our highest priority. We will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and transportation services and respond as appropriate.

1. Basic Policy

ICE2026/JES2026 is planned to be held onsite as scheduled.

However, the organizers reserve the right to modify the program or cancel the meeting if it is determined that participant safety cannot be adequately ensured.

2. Decision-Making Process

Any decision regarding the continuation, modification, or cancellation of the meeting will be made by the organizers after carefully considering weather conditions in Kyoto and around the venue, transportation disruptions, and official announcements from relevant authorities.

3. Notification of Changes

Should any significant changes to the meeting schedule or format become necessary, participants will be notified via email using the address provided during registration, and announcements will also be posted on the official congress website.

Participants are encouraged to check the website regularly for the latest updates.

4. Presentation Policy

If you are unable to travel to the venue due to transportation disruptions or delays, please prioritize your personal safety.

Please note that advance shipment of posters and poster mounting by the Secretariat will not be provided.

5. Registration Fees

If the meeting is held as scheduled, registration fees will not be refunded, regardless of individual travel circumstances.

6. Important Request to Participants

In the event of severe weather or other natural disasters, please prioritize your safety at all times, regardless of whether official warnings have been issued.

Before traveling to the venue, please check the latest weather forecasts and transportation information and make your travel decisions accordingly.

ICE2026/JES2026 is, at this time, scheduled to be held in person in Kyoto as planned, and we very much look forward to welcoming you all to Kyoto.

[Important Notice Regarding the ICE2026/JES2026 Opening Ceremony]

We are honored to announce that Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino will grace the ICE2026/JES2026 Opening Ceremony with their presence and will deliver an address.

[Important information]

There will be security check to enter the venue for the Opening Ceremony and Plenary Lecture 1. The following items are required for entry to the venue on Tuesday, June 2:

  • 1. Name badge
    (Available for download on your My Page account. Please print it before coming to the congress. A case holder will be given at the reception.)
  • 2. Identification Document with a photo
    (Passport, Driver’s license, student ID, etc.)

Please note that umbrellas, large luggage, and drink bottles are not permitted inside the Main hall.

You can use the cloakroom available at the venue (The registration desk opens at 1:00 PM.) As congestion is expected, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the last admission.
