Travel Grant

Eligibility Criteria

1. 

A Travel Grant is provided to the first author only. The first author must give a presentation on the accepted abstract at The 85th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (JCS2021) / World Congress of Cardiology 2021(WCC2021)in Yokohama. Even if more than one abstract is accepted, the Travel Grant will be provided only once.

(Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Viet Nam, North Korea, Taiwan)

Those who wish to receive the Travel Grant are required to complete the Travel Grant application procedures by December 14, 2020.


3. 

Applicants who reside in the countries listed under the “Countries that have a tax treaty with Japan” section below must submit a set of filled out tax forms, including Residency Certification, to the Organizing Secretariat. The Travel Grant application form will be valid only together with the required set of tax forms.


Please note that in some countries it takes a few months to obtain Residency Certification.


Please be informed that the forms submitted to the Organizing Secretariat will not be returned to the applicants regardless of the Abstract Peer Review results. The forms will be disposed of by the Organizing Secretariat.

Notification

Travel Grant applicants will receive an email notification with their application results and detailed information in February 2021. Funds will be provided to the successful applicants in cash at the meeting venue.

Those who need supporting documents for their visa application, please send an email request to the JCS 2021 Visa Help Desk (to be open at a later date). Make sure you include your name (as it appears on your passport) and country of residence, and put "Visa Support for JCS/APSC 2021" in the email subject line.

Abstract Peer Review

All abstracts will be reviewed in the same manner, regardless of whether or not the author has applied for the Travel Grant. Abstract acceptance is determined by the Congress Chairperson, based on the reviews by the Abstract Review Committee commissioned by the Congress Chairperson. The accepted abstracts will be announced on the event website on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
