- The 81st Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Coloproctology
(Professor, Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Internal Medicine,
Keio University School of Medicine)
We are pleased to announce that the 81st Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Coloproctology will take place at Dejima Messe Nagasaki, Nagasaki City, Japan from November 20 to November 21, 2026.
Our Society was founded in 1940 and adopted its current name in 1966. Over the years, it has grown into a large professional community of more than 6,500 members, encompassing specialists in surgery, gastroenterology, proctology, pathology, radiology, and many other related disciplines. Throughout its long history, the society has made significant contributions to the advancement of science in these fields.
The theme of this congress is “Kakuchi-Nisshin: Refinement and Renewal.” This concept embodies our commitment to continuous improvement—expanding our knowledge, refining our clinical skills, and advancing our practice through steady daily effort. This year, we place particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration among gastroenterology, surgery, and proctology. We hope to foster open, multidisciplinary discussion throughout the meeting.
We are also delighted to introduce dedicated International Sessions. Through the participation of speakers from overseas, we aim to create opportunities for meaningful communication, shared learning, and long-term partnerships that will enrich the experience of all participants. We welcome the many clinicians and researchers of all ages who are joining this congress from overseas.
Nagasaki has a long history as a center of cultural and scientific exchange and is an important place in the development of modern medicine in Japan. We warmly invite you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and local cuisine of the city while taking part in a meaningful and enjoyable scientific meeting.
We look forward to seeing you in Nagasaki.
