Dear Japanese and Korean colleagues,
It is a great honor to announce that the 33rd Japanese-Korean Combined Orthopedic Symposium (JKCOS 2025) will be held in Kirishima City, Kagoshima, Japan.
Since its establishment in 1990, this international symposium has served as a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge medical knowledge in the field of orthopedic surgery between Japan and Korea. It has also played a vital role in deepening mutual understanding of each other’s history, culture, and scientific progress, thereby contributing to international goodwill. With a strong focus on nurturing young orthopedic surgeons, the symposium encourages presentations and discussions in English, providing participants with valuable opportunities to develop international perspectives and communication skills.
Kirishima City is beautiful and pleasant in September. It is home to one of Japan’s oldest and most revered shrines. The area is also renowned for its abundant hot springs and natural scenery, offering an ideal setting for both academic and cultural exchange.

第33回日韓合同整形外科シンポジウム開催のお知らせ
このたび、第33回日韓合同整形外科シンポジウム（JKCOS 2025）を鹿児島県霧島市にて開催させていただく運びとなりました。教室を代表して心より感謝申し上げます。
1990年の創設以来、本シンポジウムは、日韓両国における整形外科分野の最先端の知見を共有する国際的な場として発展してまいりました。加えて、両国の歴史、文化、そして医学の進歩に対する相互理解を深め、国際的な友好の促進にも寄与してまいりました。
本シンポジウムでは、若手整形外科医の育成にも力を注いでおり、英語での発表や討論を奨励することで、国際的な視野とコミュニケーション能力の向上を図る貴重な機会を提供しています。
9月の霧島市は、気候も穏やかで非常に過ごしやすく、天孫降臨の神話で知られる、日本最古の神社のひとつ「霧島神宮」を擁する歴史と信仰の地としても名高い地域です。また、豊かな温泉と自然にも恵まれており、学術的な交流と文化的な体験のいずれにも最適な環境といえます。
JKCOS 2025にて皆様をお迎えし、日韓両国の絆をより一層深められますことを、心より楽しみにしております。
