Nara is located in the center of Japan and the middle of the Kansai region.

The highway and railway systems are well developed making Nara accessible from both Osaka and Kyoto in less than an hour. Coming from Mie and Wakayama takes about an hour and a half.

When coming by airport limousine or train from Kansai International Airport it takes only about an hour and a half making Nara very accessible for visitors from overseas.

Nara Prefectural Convention Center is located in the middle of Nara City between Nara Park and Heijo Palace Site, surrounded by World Heritage sites. Easily reached from Kansai International Airport via a direct limousine bus in 90 minutes, Nara City offers excellent access to travelers from overseas. Getting to Nara from Osaka and Kyoto is under 60 minutes by public transport.

* Nara Prefectural Convention Center (NPCC) is about a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station, the nearest train station.

** NPCC is accessible by local buses from JR Nara Station. The nearest bus stops to Nara Prefectural Convention Center are Nara Shiyakusho-mae or Mikasa Junior High School/NHK-mae.

Airport limousine buses take about 60 minutes from Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) (ITM) directly to NPCC and about 90 minutes from Kansai International Airport (KIX) to JR Nara Station.

Direction Guide from Kintetsu Shin-Omiya Station to Nara Prefectural Convention Center

1. After exiting Shin-Omiya Station, you will see the surroundings in the photo on the left. Cross the street and go straight for about 2 minutes.

2. Turn right at the Nara Municipal Omiya Elementary School intersection. You can see the school building in the photo on the left. Go straight for about 8 minutes.

3. Turn left at the JW Marriott Nara intersection. Go straight and Nara Prefectural Convention Center is just right next to the hotel.

4. Here you go, arriving at Nara Prefectural Convention Center.
