Welcome message
President Hiroaki Masuzaki
(Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Hematology,

Graduate School of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus)
We all are delighted to announce that The 100th Annual Congress of the Japan Endocrine Society is scheduled from Thursday, April 15 to Saturday, April 17, 2027.
The meeting is held at Naha Cultural Arts Theater NAHArt, Hotel Collective, Tenbusu Naha, and Southwest Grand Hotel in the central area of Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, the southernmost but also westernmost administrative region in Japan.
The Japan Endocrine Society, the second oldest history among all endocrine societies in the world, has achieved a distinguished development spanning over a century, and will hold this milestone scientific congress as it embarks on a fresh and hopeful start toward the next 100 years.
We are deeply committed to make this meeting an incomparable occasion rich in learning and intellectual inspiration where all participants can experience to the fullest the true fascination of endocrinology, and we are now making every effort with the sincerest dedication to ensure a fruitful and rewarding congress.
In light of the accelerating internationalization of the Japan Endocrine Society, the scientific theme has been set as “Immersive Endocrinology – A Resurgence of Neo-Hormonomics.”
Against a backdrop of unimaginable advances in the “restructuring of knowledge” symbolized by the rise of generative AI and sophisticated data science, academic and clinical frameworks are undergoing profound transformation. In this context, we are once again reminded that interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach grounded in endocrinological thinking and perspectives is the most crucial key to shape the future of medical science. This theme reflects our aspiration for participants to immerse themselves in the essence of endocrinology as well as to experience a strong sense of excitement and discovery.
In aiming to create an academic congress worthy of the dawn of a new century, we intend to actively incorporate a wide range of interdisciplinary and integrative “Interdisciplinary Medicine” programs that will further enhance the presence of endocrinology within medical science as a whole.
We are earnestly planning to develop an attractive platform where young scientists who will lead the next generation of endocrinology can gather with ease and enthusiasm, as well as plan to provide stages for the active participation of women researchers and clinicians. Furthermore, we strive to place strong emphasis on enriching international joint sessions that showcase the work of researchers and clinicians from abroad, including those from Asia–Oceania, Europe, and the United States.
It also should be noted that this is the first time in the 100-year history of The Annual Congress of the Japan Endocrine Society that it is held in Okinawa, which is located at the hub of Asia and Oceania and exactly a unique place of hope open to the world.
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to Professor Yoshihiro Ogawa, Representative Director, Professor Hiroshi Arima, Former Representative Director, and all the Directors, Auditors, and Council Members of the Japan Endocrine Society for appointing me as President of The 100th Annual Congress of the Japan Endocrine Society and for their invaluable guidance.
All faculty members and alumni of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Hematology, Rheumatology, (Second Department of Internal Medicine), Graduate School of Medicine, University of the Ryukyus, together with the organizing secretariat staff, are cordially looking forward to welcoming your participation.
