Abstract Submission Guideline

Submission MethodAbstracts must be submitted online via the ILLS STC 2024 website only.
Language English
Word limit Title: Max. 20 words, Abstract Text: Max. 400 words
Abstract Title Capitalize the first letter of each word. Titles in ALL CAPS are not allowed.Refrain from using standard abbreviations or acronyms in the title.
Author Information Name
All co-authors' first and family name(s) must be provided in full.Degrees or titles such as MD after an author's name must be deleted.
Affiliation
Affiliation should be structured as follows: Institution and Country.
Abstract Format Pictures/Graphs/Tables
No pictures, graphs, and tables are allowed.

Requirements for Video Submission

Regarding video presentations, authors must upload their videos and submit a textual abstract through the Online Abstract Submission System.
Verbal NarrationVideos must include clear verbal narration with synchronized audio. Ensure that the volume is normalized for consistent sound quality.
Language and Originality Authors are responsible for using formal English in their videos. Additionally, content must be original and not infringe upon any copyrights.
Prohibited Content The following elements are prohibited in the video:
-Author’s name
-Affiliations
-Commercial or proprietary names
Video Properties Size: Maximum 500 MB
Length: Up to 7 minutes
Aspect Ratio: 16:9

Travel Grant

Travel Grants for ILLS STC2024

The ILLS STC2024 conference offers travel grants to international participants whose abstracts have been selected for either oral or video presentations and have received high scores.

Grant Details

Full Registration Fee

The grant covers the entire registration fee.

Travel Support

Additionally, recipients will receive ¥100,000 JPY for travel expenses.

Important Notice

To be considered for the Travel Grant, applicants must check the designated box in the abstract submission system. The registration fee will be refunded to Travel Grant receivers.

Grant Eligibility and Criteria

Age Limit

Applicants must be under 45 years of age (As of April 1, 2024).

Residency Requirement

Applicants must reside in a country other than Japan.

Awards

1. Best Video Award

Three (3) outstanding video presentations will receive awards based on a combination of excellent research, innovation, and compelling oral delivery. The committee will carefully evaluate the oral presentations and select the winners.

Eligibility

Age Limit: Applicants must be under 45 years of age (As of April 1, 2024).

Prize money

JPY50,000*

Please note that the transfer of prize money will occur after the conference.

2. Best Oral Presentation Award

Three (3) outstanding video presentations will receive awards based on a combination of excellent research, innovation, and compelling oral delivery. The committee will carefully evaluate the oral presentations and select the winners.
