Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission Period

September 1 (Tue.) - December 10 (Thu.), 2026

General Regulations

  • Studies in radiation oncology and related fields (e.g., radiation physics, radiobiology, health economics/policy, epidemiology, translational science, patient care) are eligible. Authors may be from any profession involved in cancer care (e.g., radiation oncologists, clinical oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation technologists, and nurses).
  • Case reports, case studies, and review articles are not accepted.
  • Each presenter may submit only one abstract.
  • Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
  • Abstracts must not have been presented at another scientific meeting or published elsewhere before FARO2027.
  • Trade names of any products, machines, devices, or software programs must not be included in the abstract.
  • By submitting an abstract, authors grant the Organizing Committee the right to publish the abstract in the meeting materials.
  • No changes to the abstract content or authorship can be made after the submission deadline.

  • Oral Presentation: Presentation followed by Q&A
  • On-site Poster Presentation: Presentation followed by Q&A

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Please adhere to the following formatting guidelines when submitting your abstract.

Abstract Title

Must not exceed 20 words.
The title should not include results.

Abstract Body

Must not exceed 500 words. One small table may be included.
Figures are not allowed.
The abstract must be structured into four distinct sections: Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Do not include any institutional names or affiliations in the abstract body.

Author Names and Affiliations

Up to 15 authors may be included.All co-authors must have consented to the submission.
The corresponding author and presenting author must be clearly indicated.
Presenting authors are responsible for thoroughly proofreading their abstracts. No edits to correct typographical, spelling, or grammatical errors will be allowed after the submission deadline.

Awards

Best Poster Award

Eligibility: The first or corresponding author of the abstract must attend FARO2027 in person.
Selection: Awardees will generally be selected based on the highest abstract review scores. The Scientific Committee will make the final selection, taking regional balance into consideration.

Best Oral Presentation Award

Eligibility: The abstract must be presented during an oral presentation session. At least one author, regardless of authorship order, must attend FARO2027 in person and deliver the presentation.
Selection: Awardees will generally be selected based on the highest combined scores, calculated as the sum of the abstract review score and presentation score. The Scientific Committee will make the final selection, taking regional balance into consideration.

Young Investigator Award

Further details will be announced once finalized.

*Note: Each author may receive only one award.

Notification of Acceptance

  • Presenting authors are expected to be notified of their acceptance status via email in January 2027. The presenting author is responsible for informing all co-authors.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to accept or decline any submission and to determine the final presentation format.
