Announcement of Complete Switch of the Congress to Online Format (Final Decision)

I would like to thank all of you for your cooperation of the 4th JCS Council Forum on Basic CardioVascular Research (BCVR2020) which will be held on September 26-27 of this year.

I would like to provide you an update information on final changes of the format of the BCVR2020 Congress to complete Web Conference due to the resurgence of COVID-19 in Japan.

In light of the rampant spread of COVID-19 since end of June and in consideration of the safety of attendees, we have decided to give up our initial plan to hold the meeting on-site at the Nagoya Convention Hall and instead move to complete web conference format. We plan to hold BCVR2020 completely online to maintain basic research activities in Japan, one of the pillars of “The Five-Year Official Plan for Overcoming Stroke and Cardiovascular Disease” of the JCS. We would like to learn the latest findings from leading speakers who are engaged in basic research in the cardiovascular field from Japan and overseas and contribute to enriching cardiovascular care and education.

As of today, we have closed registration for new abstracts, but attendees can still access the website to register to participate even on the day of the meeting.

I would like to thank you again for your continued understanding and cooperation in this unique situation.
