The International Session

To promote international exchange in the congress, we offer International Sessions where English is the official language. General Oral Presentation and General Poster Presentation are available. Experts in Child Neurology from Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, Italy, the United States, and Japan will chair your presentation in the International Sessions. Your submission to the International Session is strongly encouraged since all speakers who present in the International Session will be eligible to receive an Encouragement Award. In addition, do not forget that you are a candidate for Young Investigator Award if you are the first speaker as well as 40 years old or younger as of June 2, 2022. You can apply Young Investigator Award by just clicking the button “Apply” and filling out your date of birth when you submit your abstract to the International Session.

General Instruction for Submission to the International Session

  1. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee and the Executive Committee to determine acceptance. Acceptance or rejection will be announced to the applicants via e-mail in mid-February, 2022.
  2. All abstracts must not conflict with the Code of Ethics of the Japanese Society of Child Neurology. When submitting abstracts, please be along with the ethical rules regarding personal information related to patients. If you use videos or photo images of patients, please be sure to pay careful attention to ethical codes.
  3. All abstracts strictly adhere to the "Handling of Duplicate Presentation at the 64th Annual Meeting of JSCN". The contents of the abstract must not have been presented at any previous conference or event. However, it does not apply to those presented at research group meetings. When your abstract may have a possibility of duplicate presentation, you should inform the Secretariat of the 64th Annual Meeting of JSCN of the possibility of duplicate presentation.
  4. If the abstract contains a new examination or new medical treatment method, it should be stated in the abstract that informed consent has been obtained and that approval or permission has been obtained from the relevant committees such as the ethics committee, clinical trial review committee or institutional review board.
  5. Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.

Conflicts of Interest of the author

Conflicts of interest (COI) of the speaker(s) must be clearly indicated and the necessary information must be disclosed as specified. The first speaker and co-speakers are required to disclose conflicts of interest for the entire research period, which refers to salaries through such as dual employment, lecture fees, manuscript fees, research expenses, scholarship donations, provision of personnel, affiliation with endowed courses, and others from commercial companies or organizations. Following the Japanese Society of Child Neurology Guidelines for the Management of COI in Medical Research (see the Japanese Society of Child Neurology website), the first speaker and co-speakers who have COI status to be disclosed should fill out a self-report form (Form 1E) and send it (them) with the printed abstract to the Secretariat of the 64th Annual Meeting of JSCN at the time of submission of abstract. These originals completed COI Self-Assessment Form(s); Japanese only with original signature in a strictly sealed envelope to the secretariat of the 64th JSCN (2022) by postal mail. For details, speakers will be contacted after their abstracts are accepted. Please be sure to write the following on the envelope: “All COI Self-Assessment Forms included” as well as the first speaker’s full name, affiliation, and abstract registration number. Please note that the disclosure of the conflict of interest of co-speakers is also required. Please send the original completed COI to the following:.

Submission Procedure

Please submit the abstract by clicking the button below.

The online abstract submission system does not allow abstract submission using browsers other than Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. Please do not use any other browsers. The latest version of each browser is assumed to be used.

Format

  • The title of the abstract should be less than 100 characters in single-byte, including spaces.
  • The text of the abstract should be less than 1,500 characters in single-byte.
  • The maximum number of co-speakers is 14, and the maximum number of institutional affiliations is 10.
  • The abstract should clearly and specifically describe the intent of the presentation in the order of purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Be sure to list the full name of the institutional affiliation, your specialty, and your department.
  • All similar departments should be listed using the same name; for example, "Department of Pediatric Science" and "Pediatric Course" should be listed as "Department of Pediatrics."
  • For numbers, Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3) should be used. For years, the western calendar year should be used.
  • The entire text in the English language should be in lower-case letters except for proper nouns and the first letter of the first word in a sentence. Names of persons, pharmaceuticals, and places should be in their original language.
  • Confirmation of submission will be sent via e-mail to your address. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail within 30 min of submitting the abstract, please contact us at jscn64@c-linkage.co.jp
