Welcome Message
Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Tokyo Medical University
The 2028 APAGE 28th Annual Congress will be held at Kyoto International Conference Center in September 13rd-16th 2028, in conjunction with the 68th Annual Congress of the Japan Society of Endoscopy and Robotics in Gynecology and Obstetrics (JSERGO). Kyoto, an ancient city surrounded by beautiful mountains and rich in historical heritage, had been Japanese capital for over 1,000 years. Kyoto is an 80-minute train ride from Kansai International Airport, and a 130-minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station.
The theme of the meeting is “The Upcoming Future of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy”. Endoscopic surgery is constantly undergoing technological innovation. In recent years, new technologies have been developed, such as AI-based organ recognition, surgical technique evaluation, and virtual reality (VR) surgical simulators. However, already existing technologies should not be forgotten. We would like to explore the current state and near future of gynecological endoscopy through this conference.
Anyhow, we look forward to welcoming you to Japan and hope you will experience and enjoy Japanese culture, history, delicious cuisine and hospitality.
