Honorary president of the ASPA2020
Ibaraki, Japan
YAMASHITA Masao, MD, PhD

Dear Colleagues,

The Japanese Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology (JSPA) is going to host the ASPA2020 meeting in Sendai, Japan in conjunction with the JSPA2020 meeting. As being the past-President of the ASPA and an honorary member of the JSPA, I would like to welcome you all to the ASPA2020 meeting in Sendai.

Japan is located in the “Far East” and has been the final destination of the ancient Silk Road, yet it is definitely a part of Asia. In this new era of REIWA, many direct flights including those of low-cost carriers are being served from Asian countries, so Japan is more reachable destination.

The ASPA was born in the year 2000 in Singapore. And, it has grown rapidly as our babies, and this is going to be the 17th ASPA meeting. Throughout the past meetings ( in Singapore, Cebu, New Delhi, Singapore, Vellore, Pattaya, HCM City, Queenstown, Manila, Chengdu, Jakarta, Istanbul, Penang, Mumbai, Bangkok, and Surabaya), deep and lasting international friendship has been formed among participated pediatric anesthesiologists. Now, it is time for you to experience Japanese hospitality at the ASPA2020 in Sendai. See you there.
