Antithrombotic therapy for secondary prevention of coronary artery disease-Merits and demerits of De-escalation-

It has been established that high bleeding risk is associated with poor prognosis. In this context, a number of trials regarding DAPT(dual antiplatelet therapy) have been performed to reduce bleeding complications. In this debate session we discuss four issues, (1) clinical utility of platelet-function guide strategy, (2) de-escalation based on drug dose or change, (3) aspirin or P2Y12 inhibitor preferred as SAPT(single antiplatelet therapy) and (4) optimal DAPT duration. By presenting on this session we can learn recent knowledge contributing to better prognosis from the Italian and Japanese opinion leaders in this field.
