Call for Abstracts

Information for Authors

Special attention will be paid to the abstract reviewing process in order to ensure high scientific standards. All research and studies reported in submitted abstracts that involve human and animal subjects must comply with the guiding principles for experimental procedures found in the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association and must be approved by an IRB. Abstracts will be examined by the Program Committee in accordance with the following Guidelines of Submission.
The Program Committee will attempt to respect the author's wishes regarding assignment to a specific topic and type of presentation but it reserves the right to change the allocation in order to achieve a well-balanced scientific program.

Guidelines for submission

1) Oral/Poster Presentations

Language: English
Language in Presentation: English

  • The paper must never have been presented before.
  • Abstracts should contain enough detail to convey clearly the approach and the results of the research.
  • Particular care should be taken in specifying laser parameters (wavelength, pulse width or exposure duration, focal spot and treatment energy, power irradiance or fluency).
  • Commercial papers, descriptions of papers with no research/development content and papers where supporting data or a technical description cannot be given for proprietary reasons will not be accepted for presentation in the scientific sessions.

2) Award

  • There are two types of presentations; Oral and Poster.
  • Paper must never have been presented before when it is registered.
  • Only one abstract per person is allowed.
  • The winner shall be selected based on the abstract and the presentation during the WFLD2016.
  • The winner wil be awarded on Tuesday, 19th July 2016.

Submission Procedures

Please complete the WFLD2016 registration before you submit the abstracts.

  • To submit an abstract, please click the "ONLINE SUBMISSION" button.
  • Applicants fill in information on the page. After submitting your abstract, please check your information as you receive confirmation e-mail.
  • If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail within one day after submitting the abstract, which could be the possibility of submissed improperly, please contact us. Secretariat is not responsible for the incident when you leave the case without receiving the confirmation e-mail.
  • Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee, and the accepted abstract will be announced to the author by e-mail.
  • Any corrections to be made to your abstract will be your own responsibility.
  • If you find correction via the website to be difficult, please contact the secretariat with your abstract ID, which will be issued after the submission of your abstract, as well as the name of the presenting of author your abstract.
  • 参加登録の支払いが、年度の関係で4月以降になる方は、参加登録のお手続きの際、支払方法で「Bank Transfer」を選択し、4月以降にお振込みください。なお、その際にクレジットカードでのお支払いに変更を希望される場合は、お手数ですが事務局までお知らせください。

Format

Title: 30 words or less
Text: 400 words or less

Please arrange the text in the order of:

  • Purpose: Give a brief overview of the topic and in this context state the main objective of the study.
  • Materials and Methods: Describe the basic design, subjects and scientific methods.
  • Results: Give the main results of the study including confidence intervals and exact level of statistical significance, whenever appropriate.
  • Conclusion: State only those conclusions supported by the data obtained and whenever appropriate, the direct clinical application of the findings (avoid speculations).
  • Type your abstracts into the box on the system. You may also paste text processed off-line into the box.
  • Follow the instructions below for specific characters. If you want to include symbols or Greek Letters, type the respective code indicated in the tables at the position where you want to place it, or copy the code and paste it in the position. If you want to use superscripts, subscripts, italics, bold, or underlines, follow the instructions below.

Superscripts

Enclose the text between <SUP> and </SUP>. For example, Na<SUP>+</SUP> will be displayed as Na+.

Enclose the text between <SUB> and </SUB>. For example, H<SUB>2</SUB>O will be displayed as H2O.

Italics

Enclose the text between <I> and </I>. For example, <I> c-fos </I> will be displayed as c-fos.

Bold

Enclose the text between <B> and </B>. For example, <B> accent </B> will be displayed as accent.

Underlines

Enclose the text between <U> and </U>. For example, <U> directly </U> will be displayed as directly.

If you want to start a new line, put <BR> in the front of the sentence.

Enter the body of your abstract. Do not include the title, authors, or institutions. Place the first letter on the left and without a space. The size of box may vary depending on the browser you use. In some case, it might appear very transmission.

Acceptance/Rejection

The Program Committee has the final decisions of acceptance/rejection of the applied papers and presentation preference.
