Guidelines for Moderators/Presenters

For Moderators

Please come to the session room and be seated at Next Moderator's Seat in the front row 15 minutes before the start of your session.
Please start and end your session at the appointed time. Punctuality is appreciated.
Further details will be informed by email to each moderator in advance.

For Oral Presenters

Presentation Time: Presentation 7 min. + Q&A 2 min. /presentation

PC Preview

Please check your presentation data at PC Preview Center 30 minutes prior to the start of your session.

Location: Mizuho Room on the 4th floor of Westin Miyako Kyoto

[For Presenters using Removable Media]
  • Presentation data can only be accepted on CD-R or USB flash memory.
  • Please follow the instructions of the reception staff to copy and display your data.
  • The computers provided will be equipped with the followings:
    OS: Windows 10
    Application: Windows PowerPoint 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016.
    Projector's Resolution: XGA (1024×768)
    *If you prepared the presentation data on a Macintosh, you are kindly requested to bring your own computer.
  • OS-standard fonts are recommended.
  • Please notify the reception staff in advance if you will be using motion pictures in your presentation. wmv files are recommended for motion pictures.
  • Please note that you cannot use PowerPoint's "Presenter View" function.
    ※If you need a manuscript for presentation, please bring the printed matter in advance.
[For Presenters using Your Own PC]

  • Please follow the instructions of the reception staff to confirm the operation using the check monitor.
  • D-sub15-pin connector is needed to connect to the projector.
    Any other connectors such as HDMI or Mini DisplayPort cannot be accepted.
    If your PC doesn’t provide D-sub15-pin, please bring your own adapter for your PC as well as power cables.
  • The resolution of projector is XGA (1024×768). Please ensure that your PC is configured to display XGA resolution, as the edges of slides larger than this size may be cut off.
  • Please notify the reception staff in advance if you will be using motion pictures in your presentation. wmv files are recommended for motion pictures.
  • We would recommend that you bring a backup data with you.
  • Please disable screensaver, power-saving feature or hot corner on your PC.
  • Please note that you cannot use PowerPoint's "Presenter View" function.

For Poster Presenters

Poster Session

All poster presenters are scheduled to display the poster for one day and to have oral presentation in “Moderated Poster”.

  • Moderated Poster 1 :
    Friday, 2 June 13:00-14:00
  • Moderated Poster 2 :
    Saturday, 3 June 13:00-14:00

Poster Size

  • Please include the presentation title, author's name and affiliations at the top of the poster.
  • Poster number will be prepared by the secretariat.

Putting on & Removal of Poster

  • ・Schedule of MP1-1 --- MP1-56
    Putting up posters: 15:00-18:00 June 1 or 7:30-8:00 June 2
    Removal: 17:30-19:00 June 2
  • ・Schedule of MP2-1 --- MP2-52
    Putting up posters: 17:30-19:00 June 2 or 7:30-8:00 June 3
    Removal: 17:00-18:00 June 3

Note

  • Posters left after removal hours will be disposed by the secretariat.
  • Please do not send posters to the secretariat before the meeting. The secretariat cannot be responsible for any loss or mishandling.
