The 9th International Congress of the Asian Society Against Dementia (ASAD)

Welcome Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

It is a great honor to host the 9th Asian Society Against Dementia (ASAD) Congress and the 31st Kumamoto Medical Bioscience Symposium (KMBS) which will be held in Kumamoto, Japan on 14-16 September 2015. Kumamoto University and the government of Kumamoto prefecture will also join us to ensure a successful meeting for all participants.

The needs for dementia research and care in Asia are huge and increasing in parallel with aging of Asian populations. Many Asian countries are moving into aging, aged, and super-aged society. This time, therefore, the theme of ASAD is “New research horizons for dementia in Asia”. It might be the time to work together in spite of diversity in the field of dementia research and care in Asia. It is my great pleasure if this congress provides platform for such collaboration.

I look forward to meeting all of you at the 9th ASAD and the 31st KMBS in the beautiful and historical city of Kumamoto.
