Call for papers

The 26th APWSS Conference Organizing Committee encourages all interested individuals to attend the conference and to submit an abstract for poster and/or oral presentation.

How to Submit an Abstract

All abstract submissions must be made electronically through the 26th APWSS Conference online abstract submission system.
We kindly ask all authors to upload your abstract in a PDF file.
You are requested to prepare a file with a template.

Abstract submission system is now available!
Deadline: Wednesday, May 31, 2017, 11:59 a.m. (Japan Standard Time).

Emails and word processing files not submitted through the site will not be accepted.


To submit an abstract, the following criteria must be met:

The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author and as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract, unless otherwise specified under the “Contact Information” section of the online abstract submission system.

In order for your abstract to appear in the program, the presenting author must be pre-registered and the registration fee must be paid in full by the end of June, 2017.

Awards and Student Travel Grants

If you wish to be considered for Awards or Student Travel Grants, applicants must check the appropriate box in to opt-in to the grants process in the online abstract submission system.

*To submit your abstract, you will be asked to create "MyPage" account.

Abstract Review and Selection Process

After the submission deadline, all abstracts will be available to the abstract reviewers for blinded review and scoring, and final decisions will be made by the Program Committee.

*Acceptance/Rejection Notification

Notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent to the first author by the end of June by email. If you have not received an email notification, please contact conference secretariat.
Rejection notifications will also be sent at that time.

*Abstract Withdrawal

Once an abstract is accepted, a written request to withdraw must be submitted to the conference secretariat.
